I have changed
I am different
In many ways I do not recognise myself
It feels like I am living in a different body
Using a different brain
It is enlightening
A sense of freedom
Sweet release from invisible shackles
I have found a new shell of protection
It is self acceptance and love
It fills the voids within my soul
Soothing, warming, comforting
It surrounds me
I bask in its existence
I cherish it
Because it is mine and mine alone
Not created by or for another
But grown of a desperate need
A yearning to feel at ease
Finally I can live without fear
Finally I can live without self loathing
Finally....I can live
