On the Seventh Day.....

Well I have made it through my first week!! Yayyyyyyy Me.

So the specialist has confirmed the following: yes it is psoriasis, yes it is bad, yes it is affected by my liver function, and the least favourable point she made was....yes it is going to be difficult to treat...joy oh bliss.
Bloodtests on Monday, another cream to add to the one I already use and go back and see her in 3 weeks.


She did say that it isn't 'caused' by alchohol, however it is made worse by it. I am going to now give you a slow motion run through of my thoughts when she said these words...
"Oooh not caused by booze...maybe I can drink again when it gets better...hang on...no..listen to yourself here you are trying to justify giving up your new life....hmm....how clever of me to recognise this...but what about....NO...STOP IT....no more deals with the devil!!!!!! Look at your hands and feet ffsk...she did say it is made worse by booze...yes thats right...and YES....today we are dealing with the rash...not any justification of continuing as an alcholic...I AM AN ALCOHOLIC DON'T FORGET IT....it will never go away...just as I am brunette with hazel eyes....I will always be an alcoholic...the difference is I CHOOSE to be a NON DRINKING ONE!!!!!" Now this whole process took about 5 seconds to play out in my head...and I shook it off.

It repeated again a couple of times through the day too....and each time I thought of it as the enemy...the other team....you know....that other team that really wants to see me fail to make itself score a point....hmm...no not this time!!

Now to celebrate my first week...today will be spend in slothful delights....watch a couple of DVD's....enjoy my reward of fish n chips for lunch....go for a walk through the gardens with the dog....hmm yep looking forward to it :)
